Who I am

Hi, I’m Amy Hintz and am the owner of At Home Pet Care & Housesitting! I’m bonded and insured and have been servicing the Ames area since 1988 with responsible care for your pets in your own home. I’m from Ames and have been here since 1971. I grew up here, went through the Ames school system, and am a 1995 Iowa State graduate (go Cyclones!). I am an experienced long-time pet-sitter, and have many client and veterinary references. The appeal of using a bonded and insured incorporated entity like myself is that I am professional, reliable, responsible, and always available whenever my established regular clients need a pet-sitter.
